The Family Entertainment Center at Abha will serve as a remarkable world-class urban entertainment and community focused development which will include a variety of leisure and entertainment to attract local and international tourism. A sustainable design approach was envisaged for this project, which started at early design stages by the implementation of IDP (Integrative Design Process).
The design of the project was done in accordance with LEED performance criteria requirements. The contractor is required to complete the certification processes by ensuring that LEED requirements are well integrated in construction, and evidence documents are available for the final submission at the completion of the project.
With an authentic urban design, inspired to give those looking for joy a new concept that embodies the authenticity of the Aseer region. The entertainment destination contains eight unique zones, along with a variety of food and beverage, and retail stores.
The project is aiming at achieving LEED Certification with a target level of Silver. Qatar Green Leaders supported the main contractor by providing LEED technical support during construction to ensure full compliance of LEED requirements.
