Concourses D & E are part of the major expansion project of Hamad International Airport – HIA.
Level 1 (Departures): has the passengers facilities including PRM (Passengers with Reduced Mobility) Lounges, Prayer Rooms, Retail, F&B (Food & Beverages) and 16 Departures Contact Gate Lounges. This level also includes the lobbies for arriving passengers, connected to Arrivals (Level 2) via escalators and lifts.
Level 2 (Arrivals): consists of the main Arrivals circulation. Passengers arrive from the contact stands at Level 1 and take escalators or lifts up to Arrivals Level. From there, passengers will connect with Central Concourse and either go to Central Transfer Security or use the APM (Automated People Mover) in Existing Terminal to reach Immigration, for Qatar as final destination.
Level 0 (Apron): is primarily BOH areas, which includes main operational facilities, offices, loading/ unloading areas, staff facilities and MEP plant rooms.
The project aimed at achieving both LEED & GSAS Certification, targeting Silver and 4-Star levels respectively.
